New Mormolyce Species from Malaysia

Insect Designs has just received a few more species of Mormolyce from Malaysia, otherwise known as violin beetles due to their unusual shape. The ones we have available are of good size and really good quality.

Fresh Specimens from Thailand and Peru

Hello Everyone

Yes, things have been very busy at Insect Designs. Not only has the site had a revamp (see my previous post), but we have also received parcels from Thailand and Peru (finally). You will find lots of restocks around the site, as well as some new items. 

Most of the new items will be found in our new section, 'Other Bugs'. The colors of the cicadas are truly stunning (and they are already spread too), and the tarantulas are big and hairy. 

Over the next few weeks we will be getting packages from Peru, Malaysia (including more items for our new section), Colombia, Cameroon, Madagascar and the Philippines.

Major Update of Insect Designs

Hello Everyone

Insect Designs has just had a face lift! Yes, not only have we added lots of extra buttons to improve navigation around the site, but we have also added two brand new sections! In the 'Other bugs' section you will find a growing collection of spiders, scorpions, cicadas, lead insects, stick insects and dragonflies. In the 'tools' section you will soon find a selection of materials essential to insect collecting such as a variety of pins and tweezers, amongst other things. We are still sourcing items from various suppliers, but we expect to have a few things on offer within the next few weeks. If there's anything you'd like to see in any of the new sections, please let us know.

New Papilionidae from Argentina

Hello Everyone

Some very nice Papilionidae from Argentina have just been put on the site. There are two new forms of Euryides corethrus (1 of each only) and 2 different female forms of Papilio astyalus. Stock is very limited.

New Specimens from Peru and the Philippines

Insect Designs has just been updated today with some nice Eunica and Anaea species from Peru, and some new Euploea, Appias and Lycaenidae species from the Philippines. Stock of many of these is very limited.

Lycaenidae and Heliconidae

The Single Lycaenidae section at Insect Designs has just been updated with fresh specimens from the Philippines and Peru. Photographs in the single specimens section are of the actual specimens you are purchasing. We also now have a new Single Heliconidae section. Some very nice specimens from Peru are on offer. The photographs below show just a few of the specimens available.

Fresh Pericopinae and Eunica specimens from Peru

Insect Designs has just been updated with some nice Pericopinae and Eunica specimens from Peru, some of which are pictured below. We are still working through our recent shipment of specimens, so more will be uploaded to the site over the next few days. We are also looking forward to another shipment from Peru in two to three weeks.

Fresh Specimens from Brazil, Argentina, Peru and the Philippines

Hello Everyone

Insect Designs has just been updated with some nice fresh restocks from Brazil, Argentina, Peru and the Philippines. Some of these have been a long time coming. Amongst the restocks are some lovely Morphos, male and female Achillides hermeli, rare Papilionidae from Argentina, stunning Agrias claudina sardanapalus from Peru, and Graphium idaeoides pairs and Atrophaneura species from the Philippines.
